2007 - An Idyllic Retreat

As a post totally unrelated to bags, we wanted to let you know about one of my most favourite places in the world…

For the past 28 years I have been going back to a place called the Isle of Arran in Scotland, which is an island off the West coast. For many years it has been called Scotland in Miniature and if you manage to venture up there you will know why.

For a new place to stay why not try a Bed & Breakfast in Kildonan on the South of the Island, called Mare. The house has stunning views and is ideally located for those of you wanting a walk along the beach, for bird watching or just wanting a rest away from the stresses of everyday life.

I have stayed and would definitely recommend a trip; I may be a little bit biased as there is a family connection but have a look at the website and see for yourself.

Arran is the most beautiful place, really I should be keeping it a secret...but then again we all like to hear about new places to stay.
